Bolton Yoga School is run by Tony Gaskell & Amanda Hurst.
Tony discovered the benefits of yoga whilst pursuing a successful career in the public sector.
Having been deskbound for almost 25 years, Tony has taken the opportunity to free himself from the shackles of government service and develop a business sharing something he loves with the community.
He has been practicing yoga regularly for 15 years and has attended classes at Sheffield and District Iyengar Yoga Association He has a BSc in natural science, and is fully qualified and insured with the British Wheel of Yoga.
Amanda has been practicing yoga in and around Bolton for over 20 years. She completed her teacher training with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2012 and has been teaching since 2011.
She is interested in how the 8 limbs of yoga integrate the mind, body and breath creating balance, strength and flexibility.
She has over 20 years experience in the NHS in mental health and also has a good working knowledge of a range of other health problems. She has an interest in the stress reducing and mindful aspect of yoga and adapting postures for specific health conditions.
Amanda is a qualified pregnancy yoga teacher. She is also qualified to lead sessions in mindfulness having recently qualified from Bangor University in 2016.
